Jon’s most recent current Angel investments are in the craft brewery industry. He was alos instrumental in the start-up: InterLock, the world’s most convenient lock for mobile asset protection. With patented technology focused on the bicycle industry the InterLock is the bike lock that hides inside the seatpost of your bike.
Jonathan was the Managing Director of Investec Solutions Inc. (DBA “iFinance”). Investec managed a bond and loan portfolio in excess of $50,000,000 and provided integrated investment and lending services.
He was a co-founder of Vantage Securities Inc. in 1988 and as as CEO and President, grew the business from start-up to over 140 associates, 35 employees, $200,000,000 in annual sales, $16,000,000 in revenue and $1,000,000,000 in assets under administration when he sold his majority interest in July, 1997. Vantage Securities Inc. placed three times on the Profit 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Canada (1994; 1995 & 1996).
Jonathan is a past 21 year member of the Vancouver Chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO); a past mentor with the EO Accelerator program; a past President of the Vancouver Chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization and past member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
He also is also an Angel Investor with the Vancouver Angel Network, an active mentor for local young entrepreneur’s, a Director of the Trinity Western University Spartan Foundation, and a member of the SFU Presidents Club.
